LIPOGRAM The brand new app from the Alan Peat team! A Lipogram is a piece of writing with a banned letter. The app has three exciting sections, (1) 'Choose a Letter' - choose any letter of the alphabet to omit/ban then simply add a title and start typing. If a banned letter is detected a warning signal appears and a synonym will need to be applied OR the sentence will need rewording. (2) 'Random Letter' - a random letter of the alphabet is banned. This section then works in the same way as (1) (3) 'Random Game' - to make this section of the app as interesting as possible we have added over 100 titles, some of which are traditional tales (e.g. Cinderella; Little Red Riding Hood etc) whilst others are wide-ranging topics like 'Space'; 'Toys'; 'Electricity' etc. Children may need to research the topic or read the book before completing the Lipogrammatic writing task - this is a deliberate aspect of the app. IN ALL THREE SECTIONS of the app there is the option to print, email AND share via social media. It's a great new app for developing writing! THIS DESCRIPTION IS AN EXAMPLE OF A LIPOGRAM. I'VE WRITTEN IT WITH NO LETTER 'U'.
